Lyzolda, the Blood Witch by chainSMA Lyzolda, the Blood Witch by chainSMA
Another MtG art present for my boyfriend. This year it's Lyzolda of the cult Rakdos. I also tried to incorporate the Riteknife and some satanic rituals, because how else does a Blood Witch spend her evenings?

Lyzolda and the Riteknife are (c) Wizards of the Coast

Rakdos gets all the crazy hot ones. Emphasize crazy.

Well, theres the rituals. Than theres the many hordes of sacrificial goblins (the artwork for Wrecking Ball demonstrates that nicely), the pit fights, the brawls, the tenuous job of keeping one's position...

Ultimately, that didn't end up too well for Lyzolda.

Great artwork! The perspective is interesting (how often are we looking "down" in pictures, really?), if there be one complaint, it would be the lighting. In theory, candlelight wouldn't illuminate here like that. Then again, if it was all realistic, we'd likely lose some detail.

HA! Well, sometimes we must cheat. Although I never consider it cheating, really. Only our imaginations truly know what lies outside the frame!!!

You are very welcome. Now you should do something with the new Blood Witch out of Dragon's Maze. (In literal card terms, I think she's better than Lyzolda, but every card has it's own purposes.) You really do capture that Rakdos style.

OH man, Exava is almost too cool to touch! But thank you very much! Maybe I'll give it a shot :)

My thoughts exactly! Got two of that card in my "Standard" Rakdos deck, but I haven't been able to catch a game since I added them. Oh well, I'm sure I'll get the chance soon enough. Most of my decks tend to be "Casual", but my friends and I tend to follow the Banned/Restricted list for the "Vintage" format.

Sorry for prattling on a bit, but it's not too often I get to talk shop on the game. I'd be interested to see what art you'd come up with. A lot of my Magic art tends to be Phyrexia inspired.

Yeah my play group also plays pretty casual. Basic rule is 'Don't be a dick' haha

Right now we're each building a guild EDH deck. Rules are - all cards either have to be dual colored or have a watermark for your guild and the general must be one of the guild legends. I get to play simic with Momir. It's super super fun.

HA! Ah, now only if that were an easy rule to enforce, at least with some of the people I play with...

Momir? I've heard one can do crazy things with him. I've not seen any EDH examples, but then again I've never played EDH.

Don't know if it's satanic, definitely Demonic.
